| Who are we, what is Shutdown Esports Club? An awesome question. But not a simple one. We are and always will be a community focused Australian esports club. We have a passion for doing things our way, the way where the little guys get a chance. We work with the best, but never forget the rest. It doesn’t matter if you’re a championship winning squad or a team of friends who just wanna compete. We’re here for that. The passion of true competition. From the moment Angus “ASAP” Brooks and close friend John “Xoruche” Dimasi met, there was one thing in common. Both had a love for gaming, the culture and the community they came from, understanding there was a rare connection they set out to do more, and then Turbo Apes happened. Once upon a time Turbo Apes was nothing but a simple Dota 2 team, but after understanding our skills and ideas were bigger then that, ASAP and Xoruche set out to build something special. We’ve been able to find players, volunteers, sponsors and call them friends. Have them align themselves with us and our vision. Now, under the brand name Shutdown Esports Club we are on track to become a true figure head within the APAC region. Our goal is simple. We’re here to build a community. We’re here to do it for the culture. We’ll never turn a gamer away. If you’re looking to be apart of the club, reach out.
