Desert Rats Gaming Network   id:  2053367
.:DR:. Operates its own dedicated servers for all games, together with team speak servers. All are accessible to non Clan members unless they are in use for Clan training or matches and players are always welcome to come and try their luck against us, hopefully find us a friendly bunch, and join up.

As well as the game servers the Clan runs an active and often lively forum, supported by an in depth web site [www.drgn.co.uk] where information on the clan, its members and upcoming events, together with game patches and custom maps for all games can be found.

Clan membership enables the dedicated online game player to take his experience to the next level. Clan play involves team work and tactics, something that cannot be experienced by the casual individual player. As well as the game itself, players need a fast internet connection, together with a selection of additional software, all freely available, to enhance the experience.

The Clan also plays regular matches against other clans, both in the competitive environment of the Clan base Leagues, and also as friendlies, where sometimes clans combine to stage 40+ player "fragfests" often on custom maps, where much mirth and mayhem is enjoyed by all .

The occasional Clan Meet is also organized, and this may comprise a LAN party, where enough computing power to run a space shuttle mission is assembled in one room for the sole task of permitting grown men and women to play soldiers, or it may simply be a social gathering with the only intent being to drink the unfortunate establishment dry in as little time as possible.

Day to day running of the clan is mainly carried out by the original founder Smudge ably assisted by his better half Sassie. Other aspects of the clan are managed by its members, all in volunteer positions, who deal with recruitment, training, match arranging and reporting, together with the multitude of other minor tasks which keep things ticking over smoothly for the rest of the members.

The Clan has an over 16 policy, which amongst other benefits prevents its members being continually embarrassed by youngsters with faster reactions.
