A mink cage has usually 0.27 square meter surface area. At least two animals must divide this tiny surface. The touching area of the mink in free game course amounts to the 10-millionfold of the cage size! Extreme variations in temperature lead again and again to a proper mass dying, since over the cage rows a corrugated sheet is only attached, in order to hold the rain. The heat and cold weather are however unprotectedly delivered the animals.
