Globochem is one of the oldest Onward teams to date. We have been competing in the highest levels of Onward since the very launch of the game. Our first taste of competitive play came with the unofficial Onward tournaments organized in the Onward Discord.
Globochem has built a roster with some of the best individually-skilled players in Onward. Furthermore, the level of coordination and communication that Globochem has achieved exemplifies the ability of a team to be more than the sum of its parts. Every single member is capable of shifting outcomes and changing the tide of a map.
With the rise of the ESL VR League sponsored by Oculus and Intel, Globochem has found themselves in a position to dominate the Onward competitive scene for the foreseeable future .
Globochem was formed by Auto, Norseman, and Thund3rpilot during the first unofficial tournaments of Onward in September 2016. After facing defeat many times in the first 6 unofficial tournaments we started to find our play style and began winning matches. However, we still could not defeat Boss Fight (formerly Registered Semtex Offenders). Before the 9th and last unofficial tournament Jizzypants joined our roster. With a roster of Auto, Jizzpants, Killerhurdz. and Norseman, we won our first tournament (9th unofficial tournament) and finally beat Boss Fight on Downfall 2 with some very clutch plays. Shortly after the end of the unofficial tournaments the VR Master League was formed where we have really come into our own as a team. During Season 2 of VR Master League (when it was still 4v4) Toast and Troggy joined the team after Norseman and Jizzypants took some time away from the game. The Auto, Thunder, Toast, and Troggy combo were able to beat Boss Fight after losing to them two times previously in Season 2, allowing us to take their 1st place position from them in the last game of the season. We were able to win the Season 2 Championships with a roster of Auto, Jizzypants, Thunderpilot, and Toast. |
