Three years before the start of the team, the Nine-Tails attacked Ubisoft servers destroying much of the ranks and taking more MMR than is gained. The leader of the ranks, the Fourth Dave sacrificed his life to seal the Nine-Tails into a newborn, Obtuse Angle. Orphaned by the attack, Obtuse Angle was shunned by the Shapes, who out of fear and anger, viewed him as the Nine-Tails itself. Though the Third Dave outlawed speaking about anything related to the Nine-Tails, the Shapes — taking their cues from slightly larger Shapes — inherited the same animosity towards Obtuse Angle. In his thirst to not be down syndrome, Obtuse Angle vowed he would one day become the greatest Dave the Ubisoft Servers had ever seen.
